Accommodation and facilities:
We had a wonderful stay on Koh Tao at Montalay Beach Resort. The hotel s location is great, although a bit isolated, the garden and bungalows marvellous, the stuff and food friendly and delicious. We enjoyed our three days a lot.

When we arrive, you should explain the different services and possibilities of the resort. We stayed 4 nights but nobody chanded our towels and toilet paper. Staff friendly and good food

+ Our separate bungalow with air-con A01 was almost the closest to beach.There is good pool.Big beach, pure water.There are big good breakfast with bacon,ham,eggs,fresh fruits.Prices for lunch is quite hight,but in next Diamond restaurant price is quite small.Free water and tea and nescafe there are in the room.In the water near the beach there are many corals (soft,green, sponges, actinya,christmas tree worms) and fishes (rays,gigantic grouper and angel fishes), very good snorkling and diving from beach. Once, when it was raining, I saw shark about 1m on snorkling! There is very good diving center with new equipment.English dive-instructor Jonh Connoly is very good, especially for beginners.Dive boat go to dive to different places around island with small people,even with 1-2 persons. Price for dive in that diving center and others diving centers for all island is the same: from 1000 to 700 bat for 1 dive. - Room was old,without wardrobe.Air-con was noisy and blows straight to bed.There is not shade in the beach,there are not beach umbrellas,plank beds.At 5-6 p.m.in the pool is strewed chlorine(chlorine smell). There are many moscitoes in the hotel.If you want to make up room,you have to tell to reception.Taxi goes 4 times in day, but costs quite expensive, price is 200 bat there-back per 1 person.The latest trip is at 5 p.m.and back at 7 p.m. or 10 p.m., and you do not have time to eat in town, and quite expensive to go to eat in town.The road is hard mountain,and you can not use rent motorbike.When you get by taxi,you can get with staff and things to laundry:)

I am writing to give my feedback regarding our stay on the nights of December 21st & 22nd. While you have a beautiful resort, we had one of the most unpleasant experiences from our trip to Thailand. There was LOUD construction (cement drilling) right by our room until at least 2am on December 22nd. We ended up getting up at 7am to leave the resort- and we were more exhausted than before we came due to the lack of sleep. This was an incredibly inconvenient experience for people who are paying to stay in your resort (without telling us in advance, as well). If you are going to be working on the resort 24 hours a day, it is rude and unprofessional to have guests stay there.

Not easy to get the hotel, road is bad for motobike, but suitable for a long stay, very nice private beach and bay. better to contact the hotel and book pick-up service in advance. Don t forget to buy some snack and fruit in the downtown, as there is no conveniece store there.

We had a really enjoyable stay at this resort. The rooms are spacious, clean and modern in design. The staff are a happy, friendly bunch always willing to help. The bay is small and relaxed - perfect for down time! The restaurant at Montalay is also great - the snapper in green curry not to be missed!

Paradise found !!! This is with out a doubt the most beautiful resort, love my superior room, really great prices, terrific food, served by freindly, happy staff and the bay here is fantastic snorkling right off the beach !! corals and colorful fish abound, quite and peaceful not crowded... Stunning beauty every where you look both above the sea and below...

This resort is absolute PARADISE.... Perfection in the rooms and the grounds and great food, served by friendly happy attentive staff. Stunning beauty both below the sea and above. The coral reef for snorkling is right off of their beach, and is fantastic and thier diving center is the best. it is quiet and peacefull here. PARADISE FOUND !!!

highly recommendable. very nice staff, very clean and the best food (high standard, but normal price) at one of the nicest bay beaches. Tanote bay has only 4 resorts, so it s not to crowded. The bungalows are very new.

Cette hotel est entrain d être construit la partie nouvelle est superbe,nous nous étions dans des bungalows dans un jardin luxuriant,les bungalow etaient confortables,seul problème c est que A/C ne marche que la nuit et fait beaucoup de bruit,mais si non c est propre.Le service est plus que limite,ou plustot inexistant,c est dommage.L endroit est perdu au bout d une route défoncée,la plage est belle la baignade facile et c est un spot pour le snorkling très chouette
